Harare - Zimbabwe music fans will on January 31 have the opportunity to watch their music stars in action both on the field of soccer and on the stage.

The annual event which was introduced last year will see the country's top musicians play soccer against former football greats in an event that is used to raise funds for musicians going through difficulties.

Last year, the festival was used to raise funds for Tedius Matsito of the Ngwenya Brothers who had just been involved in a road accident as well as Cephas Mashakada who had his leg amputated.

According to promoter Partson Chimbodza, most of the country's top musicians among them, Alick Macheso, Tongai Moyo, Charles Charamba, Alan and Sulumani Chimbetu, amongst others had confirmed their participation.

Apart from playing soccer match against the likes of Stanford Stix Mtizwa, Carlos Max, Hamid Dhana, Norman Mapeza, John Phiri, and others, the musicians will also belt it out on stage.

One of the memories of last year was when Macheso and Moyo shared the stage and when Alan and Sulumani Chimbetu's belted out together some the late legend Simon Chimbetu's songs.
