Rowdy youths threaten Deputy Minister

HARARE, July 27, 2010 - SEVERAL rowdy Zanu PF Youths threatened Deputy Minister of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment, Matutu, saying he was pushing an MDC-T agenda and not working for them at all, Radio VOP can reveal.
"We will beat you up," they said in front of his boss, Saviour Kasukuwere, at a workshop in Harare.
"This is not an MDC-T rally but a discussion on the way forward for all the youth in Zimbabwe."
Kasukuwere looked dejected on the high table but did not stop the rowdy youths who numbered close to 20 at a local hotel.
Matutu is from the MDC-T party while his boos, Kasukuwere, is from Zanu PF.
The youths said there was nothing wrong with their party and the MDC-T should not take advantage of them.
"We will beat you up," they said before leaving the venue in Harare. The Deputy Minister was forced to immediately stop making his closing remarks at the workshop after the threat by the youths.
